…Finally!!!

Sam and Michaela met in 2012 through a mutual friend. Their friendship started out a little rocky, but by 2015 they were BEST friends, and went to Junior and Senior prom together. After graduating high school in 2016, they officially started dating. In August of 2017, Sam shipped out to USMC boot camp. He was later stationed in Washington DC, and then Maryland. For the next five years, the couple would work against all odds to keep their relationship strong, even from opposite ends of the country. In April of 2019, they reached a devastating point at which life's circumstances no longer allowed them to maintain a healthy relationship, and they broke up. However, in November of the same year, Sam and Mick reconnected as friends, and started dating again in December. From that point on, Despite wildly conflicting schedules, and a distance of almost 3,000 miles between them, our bride and groom not only grew stronger as people, but have been working together to strengthen their relationship, striving to be "the best couple the world has ever known", (as they claim every couple should). In spite of the obvious uphill battle, they believed that all of the hardships they were forced to face alone, for so long, were worth the future they were fighting for and the moments they'd get to spend together, no matter how few or far away. The fairytale outcome for two people who believe real love is rare, was made possible only because they decided that there would be no giving up on their once-in-a-lifetime person, no matter what. On December 19th of 2020, while spending a magical Christmas vacation together in Maryland, Sam dropped to one knee in the snow and asked if Michaela would be his wife. To his everlasting joy, she said yes (after realizing that it wasn't a joke). It has been a long road for these two with a lot of ups and downs, but through it all, they always found home in each other and are proud of their journey over the past 10 years. Sam and Michaela are ecstatic to finally be together after 5 seemingly endless years of long-distance, and are very excited for you to join them as they say their vows and step into their new life as husband and wife.
