So talk about fate! My roommate was dating Sam’s roommate. Sam had just moved into town and my roommate Michaela was filling me in. He was a musician and he was TALL. From what she explained he seemed like my kind of man. We met at the boys apartment and had our first date watching a tv show we both liked. During the hour that this show was playing Sam was sitting next to me clearly trying to get up the nerve to hold my hand. His pinky kept inching closer and closer. It was the cutest most endearing moment i have ever been a part of. A part of me fell in love with him in that moment. The rest is history.

Since we couldn’t be with any of our families on christmas day due to a christmas gig (surprise lol for those of you who dont know Sam plays the Tuba) it was just the two of us and our furbabies christmas morning. Sam and I had agreed since money was tight we would each get each other just one gift. We exchanged family gifts then came time for us to exchange our own. I quickly pulled out the gift i had gotten him as i had been patiently waiting for christmas to arrive so i could give it to him. He opened it then sat down on the couch appearing to be done with gift giving. The impatient woman I am, I was like, “hey did you forget to get me a gift?” He said no I hid it on the tree (at the time we only had lights on the tree so there wasnt much looking to do). I looked and i looked (thinking it was a necklace or something) and when I finally gave up and turned around to question him as to why I couldnt find it, he was on a knee behind me proposing. It was a very sweet moment.
