Sara is Mauna's best friend who was her random roommate freshman year at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. They proceeded to live together all 4 years of college and still (surprise!) live 0.3 miles away from each other in Chicago.
Justin Ceh
Best Man
Justin and Sam met during their freshman year at Notre Dame. They then proceeded to both attend University of Illinois at Chicago for medical school, where they also lived together for 4 years in Wicker Park. Justin is currently a medical resident at Indiana University and has plans to move back to Chicago in the summer. Justin is a huge Notre Dame football fan and has an extensive collection on Pokemon Go.
Swati Ghosh

Swati is Mauna's best friend who she has known since birth. Swati & Mauna's favorite pastimes include sending memes to each other, being foodies, and going on trips together between Swati's many moves (Chicago to Austin to Washington DC!) in the past year.
Akshay Punukollu

Mauna's only brother and favorite sibling. Akshay is a New Yorker and a fantastic cook, both of which do not go together (picture the smallest kitchen you can imagine). This leads to some tasty meals prepared in Mauna and Sam’s kitchen in Chicago.
Jyothi Vallurupalli

Jyothi is Mauna’s cousin and once upon a time roommate before Sam came along. Jyothi is the kindest, most loyal, most fun person Mauna and Sam know. The only person who might beat her in her amazing qualities is the person she chose to marry, Karun.
Ryan Dahlin

Ryan and Sam met during their time at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition to his work as an emergency physician, he is the (sometimes disputed) champion of Settlers of Catan and an avid rock climber.

Mauna’s childhood friend, a New Yorker, and the first person Mauna calls for advice. Fun fact: Mauna and Vinaya’s fathers AND grandfathers are friends.
Matthew Bay

Sam's cousin who is a native of Macomb, Illinois and currently lives near St. Louis. Matt is a full time civil engineer and part time landlord. Ask him about his dog Reggie!
Yuka Wada

Yuka and Mauna met as Materials Science & Engineering majors at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Yuka is Mauna's favorite travel buddy, they have been all over together - Atlanta, Denver, Nashville, New Glarus, and more! They live next to each other in Chicago and they wouldn't have it any other way.
