We're getting married!

Our story actually starts in 2016 back in college at Central Washington University, where we were both studying music. At the time, we were just friends, and like many college stories, life had us dating other people and going our separate ways. Fast forward to 2022, when Sam happened to be passing through Yakima and we decided to grab coffee to catch up. That one coffee turned into nonstop talking… and we haven’t really stopped since. Our first year together was filled with long distance and a lot of miles between Yakima and Puyallup. Somehow, weekend after weekend, those drives became something we looked forward to, time to talk, laugh, and grow closer. In 2023, Sam moved to Yakima, and we finally got to build a life in the same place, complete with our three cats (Bird, Aggie, and Mayo), who run the house and keep things interesting. We’re both huge animal lovers and big dreamers, especially when it comes to our goal of visiting every national park together. While exploring North Cascades National Park, Sam proposed with Marie’s grandmother’s engagement ring, making it a moment we’ll never forget. From college friends to road trip pros to building a home together, we’re so excited for everything ahead, and even more excited to celebrate it with all of you.
