We are getting married at The Heights Baptist Church in Colonial Heights, Virginia on June 5th, 2021. This is the church that we both attend, and we are so happy to be getting married there!
Please RSVP by May 8th so that we have an accurate headcount when it comes to catering.
The ceremony will take place outside in June, so think light and airy sundresses/jumpsuits, light suits/button-ups, florals, spring and summertime colors, and shoes you can walk on the grass in. Just make sure to avoid the color white!
No. We are having an unplugged ceremony. That means cell phones and cameras should be turned off and/or put away during our ceremony. Our photographer and videographer will capture everything, and we want you to simply enjoy watching our ceremony. However, you are more than welcome to pull your phones out and snap pictures during the reception.
Our ceremony will be held outside (weather permitting) at 2 o'clock. It's expected to run for thirty to forty-five minutes. Once it is finished, the bridal party and family will take photos while guests head into the church and upstairs for a s'mores bar hour. Once we are done with photos, we will enjoy finger foods and hors d'ourves, we will have our first dance, we'll cut and eat the cake, and we'll toss the bouquet. We don't expect our ceremony to run much past 6-6:30 pm.
Your RSVP here on our website specifies whether or not you have a plus one.
Children that are invited are specified on your RSVP here on our website.
Nope. The only dancing at our wedding will be our first dance as a married couple, and our venue does not allow alcohol on the premises.
Our venue has ample parking, so you will be able to park there at no charge.
Check out our travel page here on our website to view our hotel recommendations. As we do not have many out of town guests, we do not have a hotel block.
We are registered at Amazon and Target. We also have two cash funds; one for our honeymoon and one for getting our first home together furnished. Head over to our registry page here on our website for more information and links to our registries.
We do! Our hashtag is #ToConnorAndCherish! If you snap any photos at our reception and/or events leading up to our wedding, make sure to use that hashtag when you share those pictures online.
