Sam & Brian have known each other since high school; they both attended the U of M. These days they enjoy attending Gophers & Twins games, riding bikes around the lakes, going to breweries, and grilling out in the summer. Always game for an adventure, Brian & Sam drove to Chicago, a few summers ago, for the weekend to go to Wrigley Field to watch a Twins - Cubs series. This past summer, too, Brian & his wife, and Sam & Mackenzie all went camping up at Lake Itasca! Brian lives with his wife in Minneapolis.

Allie Macho

Mackenzie and Allie have known each other since middle school in Stoughton, Wisconsin, but they became best friends during college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Allie and Mackenzie bonded over their love of hot cheese, Silence of the Lambs, and mastering the perfect Wisconsin accent. Allie is a brilliant economic geologist who currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Todd Fisher

Sam & Todd have known each other since elementary school, as they played basketball, enjoyed reading the same books, and playing Play Station 2 together for years growing up. After graduating college, Todd and Sam went on “national park road trip” where they covered more than 4000 miles and saw 7 national parks out west in just over two weeks of travel! These days they enjoy watching Vikings games and hanging out in northeast Minneapolis by going to breweries and grilling out in the summer. Todd lives with his wife, daughter, and their rescue dog in northeast Minneapolis.

Amy Steffen

Amy is Mackenzie's older cousin from Milwaukee, who always made sure Mackenzie knew about the coolest new music and clothes (like the Adidas Superstar sneakers) growing up. Amy is a fabulous hair stylist who lives in West Allis, Wisconsin, and owns her own salon in Brookfield, The Honeybee Salon.

Steve Owen

Groomsman

Sam & Steve have known each other since their undergraduate days as history majors at the U of M. They were neighbors in northeast Minneapolis for years after graduation; over the years they went camping together on the North Shore, went on lots of bike rides and runs along the Mississippi River, attended many Twins & Gophers games, and passed lots of time hanging out all over the city, trying new breweries, swimming in Cedar Lake, and searching for the best hamburger in town. These days Steve lives with his wife in south Minneapolis.

Claire Mcwilliams

Claire and Mackenzie have known each other since middle school, when they became next-door neighbors. Claire and Mackenzie had a lot of fun living by each other, particularly when making silly movies and books, and when babysitting Claire's younger brother Joe. Claire now lives in Quito, Ecuador, where she works as a teacher and runs a nonprofit, Bibliotecas Para Imbabura, that brings books to schools that do not have their own libraries.

Cora Neisen

Cora is Sam’s younger sister, a lovely person, and truly one of the greatest of friends, over the years together. Sam & Cora share many similarities like their love for nature, reading, waterskiing, & travel. Both attended the U of M for undergrad. and both currently work as educators. When they lived in Minneapolis they often would get together for concerts, dinner, or just to hangout at Boom Island Park. These days Cora lives in San Diego, CA with her beloved boyfriend and cat named Debbie.

Kristjan Gudjonsson

Bridesman

Kristjan and Mackenzie have known each other since elementary school, where Kristjan stood out as the only kid who ever picked the "write and perform your own song" option for school projects. Kristjan actually performed one of his original songs over the PA system at Sandhill Middle School! Kristjan works as a DevOps Engineer for the University of Wisconsin Medical School, and lives in Madison, WI.
