We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Sam and Luke’s paths didn’t cross at first. While they may have passed glances in the halls of high school, their lives only ran parallel to each other from close and far distances as 'just friends.' Both come from similar families who lived in the same area, but neither knew of the secret crush they each had for one another back in the day. After high school Luke had two kids and Sam was committed to the Chicago Cubs before they became more than acquaintances in 2019. When they did finally reconnect at the intersection of chance and fate, they fell quickly. A first date in the middle of winter in Chicago solidified a future of weekends with the boys, adding another pug to the family and enjoying breakfast together every morning. Fast forward to October 21, 2021 Luke took Sam out to a surprise dinner with Sam's best friend Mikaela and Luke's stepbrother, Andrew. The big surprise was that it was at the same restaurant where they had their first date. The perfect place, with the best company, to ask Sam to marry him. The soon-to-be Butkovics spend most of their time doing projects in their first home together, investing time in their businesses and celebrating the big and small stuff over an occasional cigar. Luke is passionate about fitness and will be opening a boutique studio in the coming year. Sam is passionate about interior design both at her current job and on the side for friends and family. Things they love to do together are camping, hiking, playing tennis, Saturday trips to Trader Joes and cooking elaborate dinners. Something they may always fight about is letting the dogs sleep in bed with them. For now, Sam, Stella and Finn are the usual victors.
