Things To Do

If you are able, we hope you can make it a 'long weekend' for yourself in Utah. Below are some suggested activities of different flavors, all within 30 minutes of SLC. Have a specific experience in mind? Contact Sam and we'll give you suggestions - seriously!
Trail Walk or Run in Millcreek Canyon

Trail Walk or Run in Millcreek Canyon

3800 Mill Creek Canyon Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84124

Millcreek Canyon has many approachable and well-shaded trails. Parking is abundant. Trail Suggestions: Pipeline Overlook (most mellow), Rattlesnake Gulch (mellow), Terraces to Pipeline Trail (moderate). FYI there is no cell service in this canyon, and a $5 recreation fee is due upon exiting the Canyon. Driving up is encouraged.

Hike Little Cottonwood Canyon

Hike Little Cottonwood Canyon

Alta, UT 84092

Home to Alta and Snowbird ski resorts, LCC is one of our favorite places to ski, hike, and run. Perfect for you if you enjoy a moderate or ambitious hike to see wildflowers, peaks, alpine lakes, and wildlife. Driving up here is advised. Hike Suggestions: Albion Basin (mellow), Catherine's Pass (moderate), Twin Lakes Pass (moderate), Patsy Marley Peak (moderate/ambitious), Sunset Peak (ambitious). Elevation Note: most trailheads start above 8600 feet of elevation and some hikes may ascend above 10K feet. Bring extra water and snacks if you are not accustomed to the elevation.

Stroll Historic Park City

450 Main Street, Park City, UT 84060

Walk up and down Main Street, visit a coffee shop, get a cocktail, eat an expensive burger, feel bougie, see the sites. Park City ski resort is open for hiking in the spring too. Suggestions: High West Saloon, Big Dipper, Atticus Coffee and Teahouse Want a heavy dose of mountains for your drive from SLC to Park City? Consider driving up Big Cottonwood Canyon (SR-190) to Guardsman Pass (alt. route on google maps). It will add some time to the drive, but you'll be rewarded with sights.
