Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

In short, we are choosing not to specify a certain dress code - they get so confusing, and we are not particular! Please wear what makes you feel dressed for a special occasion and festive (remembering we are having a church ceremony if that impacts your decision) and still comfortable enough to get down on the dance floor! Bonus points if you show off your fall colors.

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

By all means, please PLEASE do! We truly want their joyful energy and whatever restlessness may come with them at our ceremony (the wings of the sanctuary are regularly filled with active kiddos on Sundays, and we aim to have the same space with rocking chairs and activity tables on our wedding day), and we cannot wait to see their moves on the dance floor at the reception! If you would rather have a parents' night out, we understand and welcome that too.

Question

What are your wedding colors?

Answer

Not sure why, but Leah always wants to know the wedding colors when deciding what she is wearing to a wedding. So if you're the same way, just know that our wedding colors are about as classically October as you can get! Burnt orange, maroon, mustard yellow, and navy are the core colors.

Question

Are either of you changing your name?

Answer

This is such an individual thing for every couple! We have decided that what makes sense for us is for Sam to keep his name Samuel James Wallick, and for Leah to change her name to Leah Rhiannon Williams-Wallick. But she will continue to go by Dr. Williams with her patients! You can keep this in mind if you gift anything with names on it, but using just Wallick is fine too! Maybe even easier to just go with a monogram since the "W" is a constant for both of us.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, we hope to provide a shuttle from the reception venue to the Lakeville hotel at the end of the night. We are not yet sure if we can provide shuttles from the hotel to the ceremony earlier in the day. Times of pickup are TBD.

Question

I have a food allergy or sensitivity. Can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! We will be asking on the RSVP if you have any food allergies so we can let our caterer know, and make sure we have options that you can enjoy!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony?

Answer

There is only on-street parking around Pilgrim Lutheran Church for the ceremony, but there are plenty of nearby streets without any parking meters (therefore parking is free). Get there early as the closest streets will fill up quickly!

Question

Is there parking for the reception?

Answer

Yes there will be plenty of onsite parking that is right next to the reception venue.
