How We Met

Traffic Jam & Snug

The year is 2012. A time before Ubers, Whole Foods, and green bike lanes. Two young millennials were living their best lives, yukking it up with their pals at the Traffic Jam and Snug. One day, Sam invited Lauren to kick it with some fellow Jammers after work. She was won over by his Aaliyah rendition, and invited him to Funk Night at the Majestic Theatre the very next day. They danced, they laughed, they talked all night - and their relationship began to blossom.

Our Story

Soon they were ready to take the next step. Sam, Lauren, and Rosco all moved in together at the former Blackstone Hotel. From there, they built a wonderful community of family and friends across the city (and a few burbs). Over the years, they traveled to Toronto, California, and Colorado, partied at North End, and caught the newest indie flicks at the Main Art Theater. Summers were spent biking through Lafayette Park and swimming in the Great Lakes. But changes were on the horizon! Shortly after graduating, Lauren locked down a job in Chicago, and Sam followed suit. Life moves fast, and off they were to the Windy City!

The Proposal

The Seine

Shortly after relocating to Chicago, they became inspired to travel more, and it didn't take long before they landed in Paris last December. Little did Lauren know (okay, she 100% knew) that Sam had planned to propose. It was only when they found themselves in quiet conversation, strolling along the moonlit river, that Sam knelt down and asked Lauren if she wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. She said, "Yes!" and they celebrated with champagne in the City of Love!
