We met during Covid back in 2020 where our lives were online to keep everyone safe. Sam was invited to play games with Lake's group of friends that played every night to try and curb the boredom of lockdown. After spending so much time playing together Lake discovered that Sam was in the same state, and they made plans to meet up after the lockdown was lifted. They started to spend more time talking with just each other instead of the group, and the rest if history.

Our relationship didn't start in the way most do, but we made it work and finally had our first real date in September the following year. Lake took Sam to the Denver Botanic Gardens, it was a beautiful sunny day and we both had so much fun getting to know each other even better. We spent a lot of time in the Japanese garden there, and explored the bamboo forest section before we settled into a tucked away bench and listened to the sounds of the wonderful nature around us.
