New travel Requirement for UK

Starting January 8, 2025, the United Kingdom will require all non-European travelers to have an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) upon arrival into the country. All visitors, including children, who do not have a visa or other UK immigration status will need to present a completed ETA when entering the region, even when just transiting through the UK. Once an ETA is approved, travelers are permitted to visit the UK for up to six months and take multiple trips through the country over the course of two years (or until the traveler’s passport expires, whichever comes first). Pay a fee of £10 Complete the online form through a downloadable phone app or web browser. Find ‘UK ETA’ through the app store on your phone/tablet, or visit their website. Here, you will be asked to 1. provide contact and passport details, 2. provide a valid photo that complies with the digital requirements, and 3. answer a set of questions.

This is the closest local airport to the venue and accommodations. You can take a taxi or private transfer (about 22 miles or 30-40 min). For budget friendly, there is a bus option that operates hourly. Travel time is 50min. Airport code is STN.

Heathrow International Airport

Traveling from Heathrow to the Essex area has a few options: First option by train: 1. Take the Heathrow Express or Elizabeth Line to London Paddington Station. 2. From Paddington, take the London Underground to Liverpool Street station. 3. From Liverpool board a Greater Anglia train to Braintree station (total travel time 2.5-3 hours). Option 2 is to rent a car or hire a private driver (travel time about 2 hours). Airport code is LHR.

Rail Service

From Heathrow International Airport, it is recommended to take a taxi to the London Liverpool street train station. From there, you can travel to either the Braintree UK Station or the Sudbury station. There will be 1-connection and a travel time about 1hr 28 min.

This hotel does have availability, however we do not have a room block. Rates are not guaranteed. The current rates are $92.52-$144.00 per night. Depending on advance purchase or flex rates.
