We’re getting married!

Kendra and I first met in the fall of 2018. We both attended the University of Minnesota and lived in the same dorm, just a couple of doors down from each other. Though our love story did not begin in college, we spent countless weekends together making memories and growing a friendship, unbeknownst that it would soon turn into more. Towards the end of our senior year and into the summer after college, Kendra and I both started thinking of what a relationship could look like between the both of us. While Kendra was more forward with her feelings, I stubbornly took my time and feared what a relationship would do to a friendship of 4 years. Fortunately, I made the greatest decision of my life and have not looked back since. A little after a year of dating, I began to realize that Kenda was my person and the girl that I want to spend the rest of my life with. Since we began dating, my life has gotten immensely better. I look forward to spending every minute with her and cannot imagine living life without her. I was ready to take the next step in our relationship and ask Kendra to marry me. After weeks of coming up with a proper engagement plan, I was ready to get on one knee. On June 15th, 2024, my plan was set into action. I started the day out by telling Kendra I would be golfing with my best man, Nate. Kendra had morning plans with her Mom and would later be hanging out with her friends Bre and Alex. A few days prior, I had written a letter to Kendra that was to be delivered by Bre. This letter included directions, which told Kendra to put on a dress, enjoy spending time getting ready with her friends, and that I was excited to see her later. At the same time, Nate and I were spending our time at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum scouting out the perfect spot to propose. When Kendra arrived at the Landscape Arboretum, I had Nate be a “tour guide” and lead Kendra to my location. With light rain falling, I got down on one knee and asked Kendra to marry me. She tearfully said yes and we spent the rest of the night celebrating with friends and family. Kendra and I can't wait to start this next chapter of our lives together. We are blessed to have so many great friends and family and are so excited to celebrate with you all at our wedding.
