Sam and Kayley first met through the Jacksonville State Cross Country/Track & Field team. What started as cheering each other on, hang outs with the team, and many practices quickly turned into a solid friendship. For a full year, we were teammates first—learning each other’s quirks, sharing laughs, and building a bond rooted in mutual support and trust. Somewhere along the way, that friendship grew into something more. After a year of being close friends, we decided to take the leap and start dating. Three years later, we’re still grateful that our paths crossed the way they did—on a team that brought us together, taught us perseverance, and gave us the foundation for a relationship built on encouragement, teamwork, and love.
