Our journey began in Santa Cruz, where we crossed paths in college but never quite found the right moment for a first date. Life had its own plans, though, and three years later, fate brought us back together in the most unexpected way. Sam had just moved to Irvine for his first corporate job, and we were surprised to discover we had been living just minutes apart. One catch-up turned into another, and before we knew it, that long-overdue first date became something so much more—cozy nights filled with endless bites and laughter, where every meal felt like a little celebration of us, movie marathons, and endless bad jokes that somehow never get old.
