A classic modern day love story: We matched on Hinge (yes, it worked)! Sam's pickup line was "If you could have one dessert for the rest of your life, what would it be?" The answer was boba for Julie and tiramisu for Sam. The next Sunday, we met IRL at Philz Coffee in Culver City... the rest is history.

We were driving back to LA from a weekend with friends in SLO and stopped at Carpinteria dog beach so Bucky could get his zoomies out. As we were walking down the beach, Bucky decided 💩 in front of the photographer (who I thought was just a friendly bystander). Before I could even process what was happening, Sam was down on one knee asking me to marry him.
