We met on Hinge and had our first date at a local sushi restaurant in Breckenridge in January 2021. We’ve been together ever since and took our first trip to New Orleans in 2022.
No — we are hoping to celebrate our marriage with the people we love with just a party.
Aim for an outfit that’s polished but comfortable. New Orleans can be hot and humid, even in April, so breathable fabrics are essential. We recommend something dressy yet easy to move in, paired with shoes that work well on any terrain—flats, wedges, or block heels. Covered areas will be available in case of rain.
Yes! We’re working with local caterers to provide a mix of appetizers and entrées, with options to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions.
We’d love to keep this gathering intimate, so we’re only able to accommodate those listed on the invitation. Thanks for understanding!
Yes, the venue has designated parking, including spaces for seniors and PWD guests. We’ll also include a map and directions with your RSVP confirmation.
The simple answer is—we love it. As many of you know, Jon and I are always up for a good concert, and after attending the festival a few times, we’ve fallen in love with the energy of the artists and the city as a whole. It also doesn’t hurt that, in our opinion, it has some of the best food anywhere. It felt only natural to celebrate in a place where music is part of everyday life and truly comes alive during our favorite festival.
Nope! Jazz fest covers so many genres of music. Take a look at past line ups: https://www.nojazzfest.com/
We want everyone to feel completely comfortable, so there’s no expectation to attend anything that doesn’t feel right for you. We’ll be attending the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, but attendance is entirely optional. If you decide last minute that you’d like to go, tickets are usually easy to find outside the festival grounds, and many artists perform additional standalone shows around the city as well. We’d love to have a group go together, but there’s absolutely no pressure. If you are planning to attend, please RSVP on our events list so we can coordinate and share helpful tips. We will provide a link to the ticketing website when it becomes available, but you can find more information about the festival at: https://www.nojazzfest.com/
Anything your heart desires! We’ve put together a list of some of our favorites places to dine at, visit, or sightsee. If you have any questions, please let us know.
