Introducing the (future) Drs. Peterson-Sockwell

We met at a Memorial Day cookout - Hope's childhood friend became Sam's college friend, and a holiday celebration at the lake, boating and fresh grilled food, and a hike to a waterfall became the start of forever.

Sam asked Hope to marry him at a sunflower festival on (what had to be) the hottest day of the year! While having a couple snap their picture, Sam got down on one knee in the middle of a thousand sunflowers and proposed they spend their lives together. And of course, Hope could do nothing but cry and respond "of course".

Hope is a PhD candidate at Wake Forest School of Medicine, and is on track to graduate as Dr. Peterson-Sockwell in 2023. Sam is a PharmD candidate at the High Point Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy, and will graduate as Dr. Peterson-Sockwell in May, 2024. They share their home with their fur babies, with hopefully larger furry friends and slithering friends to come in the future.
