Question

Is parking available at the venue? What are other ways to get there?

Answer

Yes! Limited free parking is available in the surface parking lot adjacent to the Woman’s Club on Oak Grove Street. If this lot is full, ample paid parking is available at the Vineland Place Ramp, adjacent to the Walker Art Center on Vineland Place, a five minute walk to the venue. Limited paid street parking may be found on Oak Grove and West 15th Streets surrounding the venue. For those staying at the Hyatt Regency, the venue is a pleasant ten minute walk through the scenic Loring Greenway and Loring Park. Loring Park is also easily accessible by Metro Transit bus. Rideshare services including Uber and Lyft are another option to reach the venue. Other ride services include local taxi operators Yellow Cab and Blue & White Taxi, and local speciality operators such as Chey Car.

Question

What does garden party attire entail? What will the wedding couple wear?

Answer

Garden party attire "invites more color and pattern than your typical casual wedding might" and "is about as casual as you can get and still feel dressed up." Think summery sundresses, pastels, linens, summer-weight suits, khakis, and fun or floral prints. Emily will be wearing an off-white midi dress with a red-and-pink rose floral print. Sam will be wearing a pink cotton-linen suit with an open-collar shirt.

Question

Is this event child-friendly?

Answer

Yes! Children are welcome. We will have areas available if kids (or parents) need a quiet space to step away, play, or take care of other needs. Please include children in your RSVP.

Question

What does the wedding dinner program entail? What about the ceremony?

Answer

Sam and Emily have planned a nontraditional wedding ceremony, incorporating the important elements into the wedding dinner program. Familiar elements of both a ceremony and reception dinner will be incorporated between courses, including a welcome from the wedding couple, readings and reflections from those near and dear to the couple, and an exchange of words of love and commitment.

Question

What about a wedding party?

Answer

Because they are not including a traditional ceremony, Sam and Emily do not have formal wedding parties. However, those close to us, including dear friends and family, will have special roles in the wedding program and will be with us throughout the day for love and support.
