Sam and Dustin met at work- frackin’ in North Dakota. And after many texts back and forth, Dustin finally asked Sam out. He traveled 1200 miles from Tennessee to Colorado to take her on their first date. January 26, 2016 consisted of a full day of snowmobiling. On the way, Dustin of course got stuck in 5 feet of snow making a U-turn. Little did they know this was a first of many “getting stuck and finding a way out” adventures they will share. As Sam’s first time snowmobiling, Dustin spent a large amount of time digging her ride out; good thing he is so patient, kind and strong. All qualities Sam noticed and appreciated right away ;). They spent more and more time together and easily fell in love. Sam traveled to Tennessee where Dustin taught her everything he knows about fishing, guns, and deer meat. Love was truly tested when Sam almost sunk his beloved truck in the river, Sweetie Pie- he still never lets her live it down! Sam shared her love of traveling and hiking. In the last 2 years they have visited 8 National Parks and 11 states. They have hiked over 250 miles, camped in some pretty harsh conditions, played countless hands of Rummy, found the best craft beer in the area, and made hilarious memories together. On January 6th, 2017 Dustin got down on one knee (right after he fell and almost dropped the ring, I might add) on a hike in his hometown- Snohomish, Washington. They both recently bought a house in Kila, MT. They are keeping busy until the wedding with moving in, DIY projects and everything else they love to do- camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, grilling, and hosting family/friends over for food and cards. They are so thrilled to be married and start this new chapter of their lives. In the future, they hope to own snowmobiles, continue traveling, and have lots of childrens running around in their new home. They both cannot wait for June 15 to arrive and celebrate with their favorite people :)
