Lookout Mountain Trail

Distance: 4.4 miles Difficulty: Moderate Elevation Gain: 777 Feet Note: There are a ton of trails to hike off of Lookout Mountain. We recommend parking at the Windy Saddle entrance - from there you can choose your own adventure + trail.

Lair o’ the Bear Park

Distance: 1.6 miles Difficulty: Easy Elevation Gain: 226 feet Note: This loop starts at the Lair O'Bear Trailhead, where parking is available. However, it can fill up early so an early start is recommended.

North Table Mountain Trail

Difficulty: Moderate Distance: 3.2 miles roundtrip Elevation Gain: 980 feet

Chimney Gulch Trail to Windy Saddle Park

Difficulty: Moderate Distance: 3.2 miles Elevation Gain: 980 feet

Evergreen Colorado

A short drive away, Evergreen Colorado is one of our favorite areas in the foothills. There is a super quaint downtown with a big lake surrounded by mountains + plenty of hiking. Rent a kayak, paddle board, or just sit back and enjoy the views. We recommend putting in "Evergreen Lake" or "Cactus Jacks" into your google maps to get there.

Boulder Colorado

Located about 40~ minutes from Golden, Boulder Colorado is home to some amazing views, hikes, fantastic food, and shopping down on Pearl Street. Traffic on i25 can be unpredictable though, so plan accordingly.
