The year was 2016.  I was studying for the ASVAB at the front desk of LA Fitness.  I had seen Sam (my coworker) roaming the gym and yelling at his clients from time to time.  Even though we had worked at the same gym for 2 months, neither one of us had so much as said hello to one another.  That all changed one day, when one of Sam's clients missed their training session.  He was not happy. Sam decided to hang around the front desk & wait for his next client to show up.  It was then that we got to talking and found out we had a lot of things in common.
When his next client walked through the door, we exchanged "see you around!" and we each went about our day.
Day after day, shift after shift, Sam began to hang around the front desk of LA Fitness.  It was somewhere in between all this that we began to like eachother.  A LOT.
He asked me out on our first date over a protein drink in the gym parking lot. Pretty romantic if you ask me. I guess you can say it worked out.
