We’re getting married!!

In September of 2018, Destiny made the biggest move of her life - leaving Wichita Falls, TX, to study for her Masters degree at Loughborough University, tucked away in the heart of the English Midlands. Upon moving, she promptly joined a local church, Open Heaven. Little did she know, this was the church Sam had called his home for the past 5 years. Destiny, both loudly and proudly (in true Destiny fashion) walked up to Sam and ~politely~ requested to join the small group community he was leading at the time…. Sam couldn’t resist her American charisma, and allowed her to join his already-full group. After nearly a year of bonding as friends over long hikes, studying the Word, encouraging and supporting one another, editing dissertations, playing soccer (football!), organizing lethal paintballing sessions, and many many trips to the local pub…. Destiny’s time in England had come to its conclusion. Despite this, Sam and Destiny continued their friendship via Whatsapp chats and monthly calls…. then the pandemic. At this point, they decided to make life even a little more crazy… so, they began a long distance relationship! The couple pushed through many low-quality video calls, keeping time together at the highest of priorities. Sam decided that loud and proud American was worth all of the trouble and then some… he proposed in April 2020, after 13 months together! After a drawn out visa approval process, several trips over the Atlantic Ocean, a two week adventure in Mexico, and many prayers to God for patience and answers… its time for the two to wed, with the Lord at the center! We are so excited to invite you all to be a part of our big day! We hope you can celebrate with us!
