Two groups of friends walk into a bar… two of them, strangers that meet for the first time. Seven years later, jokes on them, that night turned into the rest of their lives🤍
Dave planned a place for dinner and like the gentleman he is, said he would pick me up at 5. Like the crazy, true crime loving girl I am, I promptly sent my location to 3 of my closest friends...just in case... BUT turns out he's a pretty great guy. We had dinner at Hares Hill Brewing Co on Route 23. We talked, we ate, and we laughed. We just wanted to keep talking and getting to know each other so after dinner, we went for a walk at French Creek State Park and ended the date sitting on a rock by the lake. Now we go for walks with the doggos at French Creek, sit on that rock, and watch the boys play and swim and take in how much life has changed since that date.
While his words and thoughts were scattered, the way he asked was perfectly us!
Together we have had the fortune of making seven years of memories. We've had our ups and downs but each season of our lives has taught us something new. We've continued to grow strong with in our relationship not just with each other but with Christ. Each moment we've learned that centering our relationship around God and trusting in His plan for us is the only way this works. These seven years have seen old friends, new friends, nieces and nephews, god babies, graduation, new cars and old car, and then some more new cars, other various toys with motors, a new home that we've been making our own, two amazing and crazy fur babies, new jobs, more school, another graduation, and so much more. We've been blessed to have these last seven years together and are excited to see what our future holds!
One of our favorite things to do is hiking with the pups! We went for a hike like our usual Sunday afternoon and got to the top of the mountain. Dave was behind me and in a very calm, somewhat serious tone, he said “Sam…” I turned around very slowly and cautiously, fully expecting to see a bear behind me as my brain played out every possible escape option, but when I turned, there was no bear. There was Dave. Down on one knee, with a ring in his hand, and a smile on his face.
We can't wait to celebrate with you!
