We're Getting Married!

A long long time ago, Sam was a little girl taking piano lessons from a man named Roger Hayden. He and his wife Jane filled their home with music, laughter, and the richest, realest love...and pictures of their grandchildren, of course. When Sam was getting ready to go off to college, Jane thought it was a good idea to connect her favorite redhead with her favorite "Colin". Email addresses were exchanged, followed by... radio silence. Sam never replied. Months passed by, Sam preparing for college, and Colin preparing to take over the world. Then one blessed afternoon, the best grocery store in NEPA (Wegmans, obviously) changed their fate. Sam was in the produce aisle when Jane saw her and exclaimed "Samantha!" Hugs abounded, and Sam was soon called out for leaving a certain grandson hanging. She sent a delayed reply that very day. They met soon after, and the rest is history. It's a story of books read together, even if hundreds of miles away. It's a story of letters, the kind you keep forever. It's a story of many ugly-cry airport farewells, but just as many redeeming hellos. Those treasures filled the gap between a curious day five years ago, and this joyously certain one. It's nothing short of a miracle.
