Sam's first trip to North Carolina

Cody made a great first impression (well, second actually)

Their first weekend together was bliss.

He took her to all of his favorite places...

... and showed her a side of him that she never knew in high school.

Their first trip together was perfect...

... they even ended up discovering their favorite date spot- Hokkaido.

The best place of all though...

... was Emerald Isle.

This is where they first decided to get married. Must have been something in the water!

Their next trip was for the Marine Corp's 241st Birthday Ball!

Cody and Sam danced the night away...

... and of course ended up at their favorite bar in Jacksonville (the one they would spend their "honeymoon" at) shortly after.

Another great trip in the books!

Thanksgiving finally rolled around and Cody came home for the first time since bootcamp.

The Martins (especially Cooper) were so happy to have him home.

Christmas rolled around and Cody got to come home again.

Sam was inducted into the Martin Family tradition of building Legos on Christmas Eve...

... and Cody quickly learned that matching PJs on Christmas were a must at the Wilkinson House.

Getting to spend time together over the holidays was worth every penny they spent on that plane ticket.

He was the best present she had ever gotten

They yelled "Cheers" on New Year's and hoped for another year filled with love and laughter by each others' side.

Here's that rock they got engaged in front of.

Cody nailed picking out the ring!

From that moment forward, they had officially promised each other forever.

It wasn't until this next trip that they finally spilled the beans to their folks- coming up with a whole story on the proposal (almost 2 months after it had already happened).

... adopting another family member (Meet Macaroni)...

... seeing the world...

... and finally returning home 7 endless months later to a whole new life.

Despite all of this change, the one thing that remained the same was the way they felt about each other no matter the miles. They can't wait to share this special day with you! See you on the 21st!
