Is the Chicago Botanic Garden in Chicago?

Answer

Not exactly! The Garden is located about 30-50 minutes north of downtown Chicago (depending on traffic), in Glencoe, IL. If you would like to stay close to the venue, we recommend taking advantage of our hotel block at the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel.

Will it be cold in Chicago? Will we be outside?

Answer

Late September has been beautiful in Chicago in recent years, with highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. But you truly never know, so please keep an eye on the forecast. If all goes as planned, the wedding ceremony will be held outdoors and the reception will be in an open-air tent. The Friday night welcome dinner will have both indoor and outdoor spaces but we are hoping to be mostly outside.

Will Sam be taking Chris's last name?

Answer

Nope! Although she loves the Miller name and family, Sam will remain a Cutler for personal and professional reasons.

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We appreciate your understanding and hope that you can enjoy a weekend off with us!

Can I drive to the events?

Answer

Yes! For Friday night, East Bank Club has garage parking. For Saturday night, there is a parking lot at the venue. Please be mindful of summer traffic on Saturday and budget about 50 minutes of travel time from downtown Chicago to be on the safe side.

Can I take an Uber/Lyft to the Wedding?

Answer

You can! BUT please note: you will not be able to order a car to CBG at the end of the night. Shuttles will be provdided to the Renaissance North Shore Hotel a few minutes away, where you can easily call a ride. Please be mindful of summer traffic and budget about 50 minutes of travel time from downtown Chicago to be on the safe side.
