How it began from Sam’s point of view: It all began back in 1998 , on a Wednesday night at Faith Apostolic Temple on Lincolnway West. I walked out of keyboard lessons and saw the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen, standing in the hallway waiting for bible study. Too shy to speak, I would always just blush and wave. Even then I don’t think she even noticed me. As years went on, I would see Chantel at FVC concerts and other events around the city but still never said anything more than a quick hello. Finally after a fun night full of liquid courage, I got the guts to ask one of her friends about her. “Yo Tiff, she is so fine, put me on!” She said, “Bet I got you!” After years of Pursuing, she finally decided to give me a chance. When we first started dating Chantel lived in Goshen and would commute to South Bend for work... Our first date was a Breakfast date at Angelos on South Michigan . I’ll never forget, I was so nervous I could barley eat...Let’s just say she wasn’t nervous at all lol!!! Chantel would come to my apartment and place post-it notes all over my mirror, in the fridge, in my car, with short love notes... Finding those notes always put a smile on my face. They were always there at the right times! That is one of the things that really made me fall for her.. As years passed our relationship was off and on.. In 2018 We Rekindled our Love and in 2019 I asked Chantel to be my wife!!! Through ALL the ups and downs, Chantel has stuck with me, and I love her so much for that... I am so happy that On July 31, 2021 we will start the next chapter of our Love Story...
