In this scene we find a young, spry Sam working behind the counter of his barista job in downtown Washington, D.C. Enter stage left, the south entrance of the cafe, sun illuminating his beautiful hazel eyes, is Chad. It was... kinda love at first sight! Sam knew Chad as the cute lad who would come in for mid afternoon coffee pour overs and to chat Sam up. Chad knew him as "gay Ryan Gosling" with his office mates, set on finding out if Sam liked him back or just had GREAT customer service skills (the answer is both). One stop by the coffee shop led to another and Chad showed little resolve in not landing a date. Sam, not knowing a good thing in front of him, was elusive, but the date finally happen. One date led to another to another and soon the two were found in Sun's Cinema becoming boyfriends awaiting a screening of Candyman (1992; super romantic we know). Fast forward through many bike rides, walks around the neighborhood, coffee dates, and trips, the two took a trip to Michigan in the summer of 2024, where on top of the Empire Bluff Trail overlooking Lake Michigan and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Sam proposed and Chad said yes! Finally tying the knot in the city we found ourselves and our loves in, and remain today, we are excited to share this special day with all of you!
