However, there are two more airports nearby that cater to more airlines and may be a better option for you and your travel itinerary. You might consider flying to Valley International Airport in Harlingen, Texas or to Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport in Brownsville, Texas.

There is so much more to the Rio Grande Valley than just the WEDDING OF THE YEAR! Our reception venue is just a short drive away from the Gulf Coast of Mexico - consider staying at South Padre Island and then showing off your tan on the dance floor! We are also thiiiiiiiiis close to the Mexican border. A day trip to Nuevo Progreso for drinks and street corn is one of our favorite things to do in the Valley. Let us know if you are interested in these options and we'd be happy to give you more details and recommendations. Lastly, contrary to what Beyoncé will have us believe, this IS Texas and things can be far apart. Uber is widely available, but if you are planning on taking day excursions or would like to visit some of the more remote landmarks, renting a car may be your best option. So park your (rental) Lexus, throw your keys up, and stick around!
