Downtown Charleston has endless things to do. Stroll the cobblestone streets of South of Broad, walk along The Battery, or spend some time shopping on King Street. There are also plenty of great restaurants and bars to enjoy along the way. Some popular spots that we love are Henry’s On The Market, Raw 167, and Blind Tiger Pub, but you really can’t go wrong!
Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms, and Folly Beach are three great beaches in the area, each with its own charm. Because of its proximity (and a special place in our hearts), our favorite is Sullivan’s Island. Some of our favorite spots on the island are Home Team BBQ, Dunleavy’s Pub, Sullivan’s Fish Camp, and The Obstinate Daughter.
There are so many great ways to take in the history and scenery of the area. Visit the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point, take a boat ride out to Fort Sumter, or enjoy a walk across the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge for beautiful views of the harbor.
Shem Creek, where we got engaged, is one of our favorite spots! You can grab a bite or a drink, stroll along the boardwalk, look for dolphins, and take in the beautiful scenery in Mount Pleasant. Red's Ice House and Saltwater Cowboys are our go-to favorites!
