Alberta is generally sunny however, the weather can change very quickly in the Rockies. Temperatures can range anywhere from 10 - 30 Celcius in the summer. We recommend checking the weather a few days before you leave so you can plan accordingly.
The golf course has plenty of free parking. You can also leave your car there overnight if you are staying in Canmore and would like to take the shuttle back to your accommodations.
Canmore is in a provincial park which is free to access however if you head up the road to Banff you will have to pay. You pay per car and if you are planning to go into the park multiple days during your stay, check to see if a year pass would be more cost effective.
There's all sorts of wildlife in the Rockies. Most common are white tailed deer, elk, chipmunks and rocky mountain sheep. But there are also bears, wolves, cougars and eagles if you keep your eyes peeled. On most of the popular hikes and tourist spots animals will stay away but always be bear aware and take bear spray if you're going on anything more remote.
