When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 20, 2024, so we can have an accurate headcount.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest! We can only accommodate those listed on your specific invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!

What happens if I do not RSVP in time?

Answer

If we do not get an RSVP back by the date in which we have provided, it will be marked as "No." We will miss you celebrating with us however we have to provide a total guest count to the venue in the timely manner they have given to us and cannot accept late RSVPs due to this. Thank you for understanding!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Welcome to Chicago! This month turns out to be a very pleasant month as far as temperatures, with less rainy days than in August. Often the thermometer will reach over 60 °F (16 °C) in Chicago, with an average high of 75 °F (24 °C) and low of 54 °F (12 °C). Be sure to check the forecast closer to the wedding date.

The Royal Sonesta offers valet parking with rates of: 0-3 hours, $37 3-6 hours, $47 6-overnight, $75

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony and reception are all on the same floor and an elevator will be used to access the venue.

What should I wear?

Answer

Are there any colors that guests should avoid wearing?

Answer

Guests should avoid wearing colors traditionally reserved for the bride including: white, cream, blush, and other light tones. If you are questioning it it's better to steer clear.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony is outdoors and the reception will be indoors. If there is inclement weather the ceremony will be indoors.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

Our ceremony will be unplugged. For this, we ask all phones and cameras to be put away and for there to be no pictures or videos taken! You are more than welcome to take photos + videos throughout the course of the reception! This is such a special day for us and we have the most amazing photography and videography team documenting our entire day, that way you are able to take it all in, celebrate and be in the moment with us!

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Please make a note of it when you RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The Ceremony begins promptly at 5:00pm. We recommend arriving around 4:40pm to give you plenty of time to park, take the elevator up to the ceremony space, and get settled in your seat at the ceremony.

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend you stay at the Royal Sonesta where our ceremony and reception take place. Please see the travel page for the link to access booking through the room block.
