We're getting married!

As many of you know, Brie and Sam both grew up in Herndon, Virginia and knew each other through going to the same schools and church growing up. Both attended James Madison University (Go Dukes!) and although three years apart, shared many mutual friends. Although Brie and Sam overlapped for a year at JMU, it wasn't until they ran into each other at a concert in Charlottesville in 2016 that their friendship started to develop and they realized how much they had in common and enjoyed time spent together. Over that winter and spring they kept in touch and occasionally would see each other when Sam would come to JMU to visit his brother, Jake. Brie was pretty oblivious for the better part of a year that Sam had something more than friendship in mind. When she returned home to Herndon for the summer before her senior year, Sam made an effort to spend time together and Brie eventually took the hint. One of their first dates was at Delirium Brewery, where six years later they took engagement photos! & Now they’re here! A couple moves, a lot of travel and time spent with friends, two cats, six years, and rainy hike turned wonderful proposal later. There have been many friends, family, and events that have been instrumental in the making of and development of our relationship. We are so grateful.
