Best Man
Those of you that know me probably know Matt. We were best friends in the 4th grade and shortly after, brothers. Since Dec. 7th 2002, Matt and I have shared bunk beds, shared college dorms, and completed 2 college degrees each. What started as two 10 year-olds convinced that taking karate at the civic center was one step closer to real-life Dragon Ball, developed into one of the most important relationships in my life. Choosing Matt to be my best man was one of the easiest decisions I've ever made. Mostly because my parents said I had to.
Groomsman
Tyler and I have more or less known each other our entire lives. Our friendship didn't kick off, though, until we were both working at Mr. V's Pizza for minimum wage. Through Mr. V's, Tyler and I became fast friends, sharing a love of music, road tripping, and general dislike of restaurant employment. Tyler's family and mine have been close for years, and I was honored to be one of his groomsmen in his wedding. Had he not had two brothers, I'm 90% sure I would have been the best man, just saying. Shoe's on the other foot this time. I'm thankful to have friends like Tyler and his wife, Kelsey, who I'm able to pick back up with like nothing has changed, no matter how much time there is between visits.
Groomsman
Michael and I first met through a community group at church around 2 years ago. He and I became fast friends and wound up seeing a lot more of each other when he moved into an adjacent apartment. Since then, he's become an accountability partner at the gym, a shooting buddy, and a role model for a Christian man. Michael has been a font of wisdom beyond his years and an uplifting guy. I'm grateful to have him around because Becca said I had to have at least 3 groomsmen, and he was an easy choice.
Maid of Honor
Steph and I met on interview day of PT school. I eventually convinced her to become my friend and we became roommates, living at the beach in Carlsbad, CA. We have been close friends ever since and Steph became my best travel and adventure buddy. She is pretty much down for any kind of adventure, and we have had some good ones traveling the world together. My life is richer and definitely more interesting for having her in it. Don't let her self proclaimed "fuchi-face" fool you. She has one of the kindest hearts and is one of the most loyal people you will ever meet.
Bridesmaid
I have known Meg literally my entire life. Our parents lived on the same street when we were born, and we have been friends ever since. We have experienced every stage of life together, the good and the bad. Meg is family. It does not matter how long it has been since we've seen each other or gotten to talk, I know that she is always going to be there for me and vice versa. The Lord blessed me 30 years ago with a forever friend in her.
Bridesmaid
I met Roma in graduate school as well. We always joked in school that she was our class Mom. She always made sure we knew when things were due and would share her study guides. I would have struggled to make it through without her and Steph. Roma has the most loving and caring heart, and she is filled to the brim with wisdom. To know her is truly to love her.
Bridesmaid
Jess was the first friend I made when I moved back to Jackson and started working at the hospital. She graciously showed me the ropes at the hospital and taught me some valuable skills. We have been friends ever since, and she was there when I met Sam at the hospital. It has been amazing to walk along beside her as she has become a mom to two beautiful littles. She is an amazing Mom and a blessing to call one of my closest friends.
Bridesmaid
Grace is Sam's sister, but more importantly my friend. She has never been anything but welcoming and loving ever since I started dating Sam. She has always made me feel like family. She can always make you laugh and her love for Jesus is evident in all she does. I am unbelievably blessed to be gaining her as a sister.
