Travel

THANK YOU for traveling to Arrietta's very cute but somewhat inconvenient hometown to celebrate with us. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about travel or anything Charlottesville-related! -We're not booking a hotel block, but have listed just some of the many nice options here. There are also plenty of Airbnbs! Please let us know if you need additional help finding accommodations. -We're kindly requesting that everyone flying in for the weekend wear a mask while traveling! This is for Sam's health, at the recommendation of his doctor – thank you in advance :)

Flight

Airports

Charlottesville has a small airport 15 minutes from town. You can connect through Dulles, Atlanta, Charlotte, LaGuardia, or Chicago. If you find that flying into Charlottesville is too inconvenient or expensive, Richmond and Dulles International airports are each about an hour and a half away! We are happy to help coordinate carpooling.

Rental Car

Car Rental

Charlottesville is a small town with limited public transportation! That said, we think you can have a fun weekend without renting a car. We'd recommend staying around the downtown area for maximum walkability, and Ubers are generally cheap because things are close together! Of course, renting a car will give you maximum convenience! If you prefer to rent a car, we recommend flying into Richmond or Dulles, which will be more cost effective.
