Alexa and Sam met in 2019 while working at the Headfirst Companies. Sam was in HR, while Alexa did Marketing, Sales, Events and probably about 15 other jobs. Considering there was not a lot of crossover in our roles, we didn’t get to know each other very well until Alexa needed help getting health insurance. COVID hit and we were tasked with keeping the company culture alive in a remote environment which was not an easy job. We created the "Quaran-zine" as a space for our team members to contribute fun articles and promote connection. This initiative had us talking daily and becoming good friends over Slack/Zoom. We both were feeling more than friendship vibes, but we hadn’t seen each other in person for so long! The end of the summer 2020 came around and Sam was out of town for the company party, which Alexa took as an opportunity to shoot her shot and send some texts after consuming a few adult beverages. We both confessed some feelings for each other that night and made plans for our first date the literal next day. On our first date we spent the whole night talking and… we’ve been inseparable ever since, our lives quickly intertwining and growing together. And now, we’re planning our wedding 4 years later!
