AJ and Sam met through mutual friends while in college at the University of South Florida. When the friend group dissipated, they continued their relationship and began dating in December of 2014. Together they fell in love with Rugby, survived a nasty ankle injury, graduated college, road-tripped across the state and later across the country, saw Four Years Strong twice, went to multiple Broadway shows, traveled to New York City, spent weekends in the mountains, went to four weddings, and moved to Orlando together.
On the tail end of their cross-country road trip, Sam and AJ joined her family for a pit-stop in NC. As a group they visited Doc's Gem Mine and AJ bought everyone a bucket of dirt. In that bucket, Sam found a large, dark stone that ended up being one of the largest ruby they had seen. Two years later, AJ treated Sam to a lovely dinner at Hemingways - a beautiful restaurant at the Grand Cypress resort. After dinner they walked to the spot where Sam's parents got married in 1993 and AJ asked her to be his wife with the same ruby now set in a beautiful ring.
AJ and Sam are getting married in an intimate ceremony in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina, a place very close to Sam's heart and a favorite spot for the couple to travel. They are looking forward to celebrating with their Orlando community as a married couple!
