Jumping The Broom!

We met at my 33rd Birthday Party, thanks to Crystal Lacey and Kenny Crawford Jr. They introduced us during the party and Alex brought me a birthday cocktail. The party was going on around us as we talked for hours, needless to say Alex stole my attention and later stole my heart.

I was completely surprised! Reflecting over the week, I should have noticed something. Alex was nervous and acting weird all week. On Tuesday, October 23rd we relived our first date at Brick, currently called Keen. We laughed, reminisced, and enjoyed each other’s company. I didn't think anything of it because we go out often. I should have noticed something when he said, "Let’s go out again on Friday and dress up." Friday rolls around and he takes me to XIX Nineteen which is one of my favorite restaurants in the city, the view and drinks are amazing. We enjoyed a romantic dinner for two and headed back home. Once we arrived home I thought the evening was over. Little did I know this would be the beginning of a new journey. As I took off my coat and turned around Alex was standing in the middle of our living room with a pretty red box in his hand. I was shocked and said," WHAT ARE YOU DOING." He said, in his old man voice, "give me a minute you know I'm old" LOL, as he dropped down on one knee and said "Samaiya Will You Marry Me.........and I SAID YES!!!! We're so excited to celebrate and start this next chapter in our lives as husband and wife with you in Cabo!
