…just kidding! The young couple met through the San Francisco Muslim Running Club. Ariyanti, beginning her training for her second marathon and Samaan running around the city trying to make Muslim friends—for the first few months, they didn’t talk much. However, after one spooky night on a haunted house adventure with the run club, Samaan took a liking to her bubbly personality and cool leather jacket. Samaan mustered up the courage to ask her to get dessert together. She said “sure, if that’s what you want to do.” The rest, as they say, is history and 8 months later they were engaged Alhamdulilah.
