FAQs

The Wedding Website of Rachel McGinnis and Sam Arrington
If you have any other questions not listed here, please contact the bride or groom directly.
Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place outside, weather permitting. Cocktail hour will be in an indoor-outdoor space with seating available. The reception will take place inside in an air-conditioned ballroom. Early October in Virginia can be unpredictable, but average highs range from 65° - 75° F and lows range from 41° - 52° F.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our dress code is black tie optional. Women can wear a floor-length gown or a formal cocktail dress (midi-length or longer). Men can choose between a tuxedo or a dark-colored suit with a tie. Please reserve ivory & cream dresses for the bride, and lilac/lavender dresses for the maid of honor and bridesmaids.

Question

How do I get to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

Shuttles will be provided for guests staying at the Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn in Warrenton, and will depart at 3:45 pm. If you are staying elsewhere and are planning to drive, parking is readily available at the venue. Due to the location of the venue, Uber and Lyft are not reliable, and not recommended for primary transportation. At the end of the reception, 2 shuttles will return guests to the hotels, while another will take guests to the afterparty.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

If a plus-one or individual's name is listed on your invitation, yes! If not, no. We will only be able to accommodate those specifically listed on your invitation. All invited members of your party will also be listed on the RSVP section of our website.

Question

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

There will be a section on the RSVP to indicate any dietary needs.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Although we love your children, this will be an adults-only occasion. We hope you take this opportunity to enjoy a night out and appreciate you making prior arrangements!

Question

What time should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

Please plan to arrive for the ceremony between 4:00 - 4:15 pm.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You will be able to RSVP online once invitations have been mailed out (June/July 2026). We will have a specific page on our website ("RSVP") where you will be able to RSVP and specify any dietary needs. Please indicate whether you will be attending no later than September 2, 2026.

Question

What if I don't RSVP in time?

Answer

If you do not RSVP by September 2, 2026, you will be marked as "not attending". We would love to celebrate with you, but we need to provide an accurate guest count to our vendors by this deadline and thus cannot accept late RSVPs.
