There is something truly special about the beach. Everyone has memories of the beach; building sand castles as a kid, the first time you brace yourself for an ice cold wave at Benone, the fear of jelly fish, the adrenaline of jumping through waves, learning to surf, the gritty sand between your toes, the beach is a special place and an engagement is a special occasion. Through our travels we've been to some of the most amazing beaches in the world and one of those was on a small island called Malolo in Fiji. After carrying the ring for 5 days (a lifetime when you have a track record for losing items on a daily basis) waiting for the perfect evening and perfect beach we arrived on Malolo and I knew that was it. Most people are nervous before the big moment, but I was ready, I had half a bottle of gin, a camera at the ready and a plan! As the sun began to set it was perfect, until a chatty security guard called Abe turned up to divulge his life story. Once I had politely told Honest Abe to mosey on down the road, calm was restored and I was ready. I've always been a fan of film and having a chance to be a leading man in my own rom-com was not a chance I was turning down. The sun was setting, the ocean was crashing onto the beach, Danielle was smiling.... Lights, Camera, Action!
