Sam and I have been dating for an amazing 7 years, 11 months and will be just shy of our 9th anniversary when we officially tie the knot on August 15, 2020. Below are some of our favorite memories over the years together. We hope you enjoy and cannot wait for you to celebrate with us on our special day. 2011 2011 is the year Sam and I started dating. While I had met him a few years prior, we were reintroduced through mutual friends and had an instantaneous connection. 2013 This was a busy year for us. I had jaw surgery over my summer break from school and my jaw was wired shut for six weeks. Sam was right there by my side, from helping feed me from a syringe (yikes!) to watching endless movies with me; and I knew that he was a keeper. We also adopted our sweet, loving kitty, Dumbledore. On occasion, we like to refer to ourselves as the dynamic trio: Sam, Nat and Cat. 2015 In 2015, after 3 years long distance, we were tired of it! Despite that, we both remember this as a fun year, full of great memories. Overall, we learned long-distance sucks but love rules. 2017 2017 was also filled with so many great memories – hiking at Starved Rock, cliff-jumping in Arkansas, and attending family weddings. We also found a joy for cooking together; we like to say that we are each other’s sous chefs. 2018 This is the year that Sam and I officially became roomies. We instantly fell in love with our neighborhood, River North; some of our special moments include grabbing gelato on the River Walk and eating dinner at our favorite, the Guilt Bar. 2019 Fast forward to today and it is so hard to believe that almost 8 years have gone by. It feels like I blinked and in those moments, from teenagers to now young adults, I know that our love for each other is immeasurable and never-ceasing. The one thing I have learned over these nearly 8 years is that through love, we truly can be, do and have it all.
