Our story initially began in 2007, in 8th grade, when we met in PE class. We started dating January 7th 2008 and were together for over a year before going our separate ways. Over the years, we would occasionally check in to see how the other was doing. It wasn't until Sam was in Charleston for a wedding in February 2021 when Martin messaged Sam on Instagram. A couple weeks later Sam made the trip back to Charleston to visit Martin and the rest is history! Now we will be getting married on our original anniversary 15 years later.

It was Friday December 3rd and Martin was at work while Sam spent the day with her friends, Holly and Jill, who were in visiting Charleston for the weekend. The girls spent the day distracting Sam while also trying to discretely get her to dinner on time. Once we arrived to the restaurant, Sam was greeted by Martin who took us around a fireplace and proposed in front of our family and friends. After the proposal we had an amazing dinner and got to celebrate with our favorite people!
