Here are a few of our favorite spots closer to the city: EAT + DRINK - Supperland (Plaza Midwood): elevated southern dishes in an old church - Ever Andalo (NoDa): cozy & chic spot serving traditional Italian - Workman’s Friend (Plaza Midwood): Irish gastropub and great place for drinks - Amélie's French Bakery (several locations): incredible desserts & cafe-style lunch - So many breweries! SHOP - Atherton Mill/South End Rail Trail (our South End hotel block connects to this!) - South Park Mall (South Charlotte)

Hiking Trails Around Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden

6500 S New Hope Rd, Belmont, NC 28012

Connected to our venue at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden are several miles of beautiful trails. Persimmon Trail which starts from the garden parking lot is an easy 3.2 mile hike through forests and the open meadow that eventually leads to Lake Wylie. It also joins with the Carolina Thread Trail along the lake for a longer hike in nature.

U.S. National Whitewater Center

5000 Whitewater Center Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28214

Huge outdoor recreational center (over 1,300 acres!) on the Catawba River with tons of activities including rafting, hiking, zip lining, rock climbing, and more. There are also places to eat overlooking the whitewater course.

For all the days along the way
