FAQs

If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact the couple directly at scottwed2021@gmail.com
Question

What are your plans in light of COVID-19?

Answer

After discussion with our elderly and at-risk guests, we will be sticking to current CDC guidelines. Masks will be optional for guests, and we are not planning to enforce social distancing during our event. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the couple at least 3 weeks in advance via scottwed2021@gmail.com.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

By June 1st, 2021. We are assigning seating at the reception and don't want to leave anyone out. We understand that travel plans change fast in these times, so please keep us as updated as you can. RSVP via the tab above.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We've hired an amazing photographer to take pictures for us during our ceremony, so please refrain from taking any of your own photos. During the reception, take all the photos you want (and please share them with us using the hashtag #readyforscott)

Question

Where should I plan to park?

Answer

Signs on-site will direct you to free parking.

Question

Help! I didn't rent a car. How do I get to the ceremony?

Answer

Uber and Lyft are consistent rideshare options in the greater Seattle area. Using rideshare for your whole weekend experience will save you money on parking in downtown Seattle if you plan to do any sightseeing. For Lyft, use code ELLEN77464 for $5 off your first ride (this code will also send the newlyweds a discount on future rides!) Uber offers $5 off your first three rides with the code NEWRIDER15 (save on your trip to and from the wedding!)

Question

Where should I send a gift?

Answer

If you plan to choose something off of our registry, our shipping address will be automatically included. Mail cards to the Scott family home, or bring them with you to the reception.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Gluten and dairy free options will be served at the reception. If you have other dietary restrictions, contact the couple at least 1 month in advance via scottwed2021@gmail.com.

Question

Will alcohol be served at the reception?

Answer

Beer and wine will be available to guests who are of age (another potential reason to use rideshare).

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

See our "travel" tab to view discounted hotel blocks and a new users discount to Airbnb.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-formal-Cocktail is preferred. For gentlemen, jacket or a tie would be great, but no need to wear both, if you know what I mean. If you're feeling dressier, a suit is completely acceptable. You may find a black suit too formal; that being said, the bright pink suit may be a bit much. Ladies should aim for a knee or midi-length dress or skirt, but a sundress will do nicely. The wedding will be held outdoors in the summer, so keep temperature in mind -- if you know what I mean. For further confusion, contact scottwed2021@gmail.com.

Question

Who is taking your wedding pictures?

Answer

We've worked with 3 amazing photographers throughout our engagement. Peri Dropping (@periameliaco) is an AZ and WA based photographer who took pictures when Sam proposed Elli Esher (@elliesherphotography) is a NYC and Washington D.C. based photographer who took our upper East side engagement session Micky Bones Photography (@mickybonesphotography) is a Portland based photographer who took our Columbia River Gorge engagement pictures and will be shooting our wedding.
