Things To Do

Bolton Potholes

Bolton Potholes

1 Bolton Valley Access Road, Bolton, VT 05676

An unplanned bonus of moving the wedding to August - swimming holes are now in season! A great spot to cool off or nurse your hangover less than 15 minutes from Waterbury's downtown.

Hunger Mountain Hike

Hunger Mountain Hike

Hunger Mountain Hike, Waterbury Center, VT 05677

One of the best nearby hiking trails. This is a 4.4 mile out and back trail featuring a waterfall and summit views of the area. It is rated as difficult but said to be worth the effort if you're into hiking. The Stowe Pinnacle trail is another great one nearby to check out.

Ben & Jerry’s Factory

Ben & Jerry’s Factory

Vermont 100, Waterbury Village Historic District, VT 05676
, (866) 258-6877

August is the perfect month to visit the Ben & Jerry's factory. Take a tour or visit their service window to grab one of their famous flavors. It's less than one mile from the wedding venue! For other local foods and shops, check out Cabot Cheese, Lake Champlain Chocolates, the Green Mountain Coffee Roaster center, and the Cold Hollow Cider Mill.

The Alchemist Stowe

The Alchemist Stowe

100 Cottage Club Road, Stowe, VT 05672
, (802) 882-8165

If you're not from New England, Vermont is known for some of the region's best craft beer. And the Alchemist brews one of the most famous IPA's in the state, Heady Topper. Drop in for a taste from the source. If there's not enough time, no worries - there's no shortage of locations selling great craft beer in the area: bars like The Prohibition Pig, The Blackback Pub, and the ZenBarn all offer great local beer on tap. Check out the Craft Brew Cellar if you want to pick up some cans before your journey home.

Downtown Waterbury and Stowe

Downtown Waterbury and Stowe

Stowe, VT 05672

Waterbury has a small and charismatic downtown. Downtown Stowe is larger and only a 15-minute scenic drive away. Both are great place to explore - walk around and check out some of the locally owned shops, art stores, bars, and restaurants.
