October 15th is approaching quickly! We want to remind everyone to please bring along some warm layers, as it looks like the temperatures may be chilly, especially when the sun goes down. You are more than welcome to come in dressy-casual attire for the ceremony and then change into warmer casual clothing later on. Many of our friends and family are already planning to set up tents and camp out overnight, and any other guests are also welcome to do so! Our goal is to make sure no one gets sick from our event. For the health and safety of everyone we love, we kindly ask that everyone please take an at-home COVID test, and confirm a negative result, before attending. While we want to see and celebrate with everyone, we kindly ask that you refrain from attending if you feel sick or have been recently exposed. When traveling by plane or cab, please wear a mask. Sam and Carrie met in late 2017, shortly after Carrie moved to Champaign-Urbana, where Sam had already been friends for years with Carrie’s younger sister and now brother-in-law. Not long after Carrie joined their rec soccer team, the two found themselves spending more and more time together within the group. When they finally made plans to meet up alone for dinner and a movie, neither was sure whether it was supposed to be a date, but both hoped it was! Sparks flew, more dates followed, love blossomed, and the rest is history! We can’t wait to see you all on October 15th as we start the next chapter of our life together.
