We met in 2015 as teammates on Lehigh’s rowing team. Kyle stayed at Lehigh and became a Graduate Assistant Coach for the team during Sara's senior year. Sara used to study in a campus coffee shop everyday. One day, all of the seats were taken, so she walked over to the engineering building instead. Kyle joined her at her study table. We sat together everyday after that. Eventually we added in Sunday night Game of Thrones viewing sessions, grabbing lunch, or spending free time together on campus. We began dating in the beginning of May 2019.

We planned a trip to Washington, D.C. in February of 2022. We spent the weekend sightseeing, brunching, and enjoying the beautiful weather. On February 27, Kyle proposed in front of the reflecting pool at the National Mall.
