They both have been playing game for long time and mostly during their college time. He used to play Dota, Tera online, Super Smash Bros… She used to play Go (an ancient Chinese board game with black and white stones), Maple Story (the longest), War of Warcraft, Diablo, Eden Eternal, League of Legends, FF XIV on PC and many other PC, mobile games. On a random day about 6-7 years ago, she was just enjoying her gaming life in League of Legends. Her friend invited her into a team battle game. She noticed there was a teammate that was really skilled, way higher rank than her, like to do "high risk-low reward" (or sometime high reward) moves. He turned their losing game into a win. After that, they added friend in game and played a lot of games together (of course he always carries). They argued a lot but of course had fun also. He used to play solo lane but now he had to play duo lane because no one want a noob support like her 😤😤 She loves to travel to different states, countries so one day she decided to surprise him for his birthday by visiting him. Her first thought was he is probably nerdy because he plays games all day and is really good at anything he plays, but in-real-life (irl), he’s into rave, EDM music, drinking, partying (not too crazy). They hung out more after that (online). After the trip she asked if he wanted to come with her to visit a friend in San Diego. He flew down and after the trip, he asked her out. Their first un-official date was at a live LCS (League of Legends Championship Series) event in Hollywood.
After their venues checking (yes they already planning the wedding before the proposal happened), they went to Laguna beach as it is the prettiest beach that the bride likes. Their friends helped set up a tent on the sand at the nearby beach down the street. He asked for the ring as he said “it’s a surprise”. She had the feeling that he would “propose”. They took a walk along the lighted candle on the sand, and ended up at the tent with Pokemon, Sakura and Pusheen set up. He did a speech, got on one knee and popped the question 💙💜 Big thanks to his best friends from San Jose and her best friends from San Diego helped to make this happen!! 💖
They're so excited to start the next phase of their lives together and can't wait to celebrate with you in May 🌸
